About

OAHU, Hawaii>>>Tiara Gomes, is climbing the ladder towards musical success with her debut single, Hurricane, featuring popular local island reggae group Maoli and recently released her newest single, 325.

Born and raised in Hawaii, the Waimanalo talent incorporates a wide-range of musical influences in her work. Inspired by Soul and R & B and worship music, her style is elegant and sophisticated with an island twist.

Growing up in a musical household, she’s been singing since she was 4 years old, and always knew that her passion was music and that it was what she was born to do.

“I just feel free when I sing. It’s who I am,” she said.

She attributes much of her success to her parents, who she says always encouraged and supported her to follow her dreams. That encouragement has led her to pursue her passion, giving her opportunities to perform for live crowds in local restaurants and venues. Most recently her skills caught the eye of Hawaii’s Number 1 reggae group, Maoli, during a talent contest search where she was announced the winner in July. As the winner, she was picked to record an original song with the trio, which is available NOW on all digital platforms.

While Hurricane may be her first single, it won’t be her last. In the next five years, she hopes to have produced several successful albums and tours. Her dream is to also have her own studio where she can create and inspire through her craft.

“I’ve always wanted to have my own studio and know how to produce music well. I know I never want to lose passion in what I love and I want to be able to do this forever and be comfortable financially,” she said.

While music is her life’s purpose, she also strives to have a healthy work-life balance, and be a positive influence in her community.

“I want my music to move people and not just be something that has a good melody to it,” she said. “I want it to spread positivity, lift up someone’s day, help someone go through a rough time, and be able to help people express themselves and their feelings through my music.”
